CONNECT is the huge, fall orientation event for incoming college freshmen at the University of Advancing Technology.
I oversaw the 40+ visual projects that are apart of the CONNECT event. I managed deadlines/communication for content submission, photography, production process, revision period and submitting the print materials to the internal & external print vendors. All the pieces you see here are ones I produced.
The visual design of CONNECT is one I initiated in 2006 and expanded upon in these 2007 pieces. The event grew to a size where we have 9 seperate groups on campus; 4 undergraduate, 4 parent, and 1 graduate group. I came up with a color scheme to distinguish the groups, mainly used for the folders and room signage. I made a 'CONNECT design element template' that has all the branding design elements, so it's pretty much drag and drop to add in the logos, fonts, patterns and colors.
